Fashion designer Stella McCartney and supermarkets in Europe are using the degradable bio-plastic material developed by an Israeli engineer and mum who was trained "to create something out of nothing."
World changers are here....
In an interview with website Nation Swell, Daphna Nissenbaum reveals the impetus to create biodegradable products and how her inventions are making a hit across the globe. Today, her company Tipa makes zippered bags, stand-up pouches and packaging for coffee, snacks and produce.
Her clients include fashion designer Stella McCartney, who’s replacing all her plastic packaging with Tipa products and recruited the company to make invitations for her 2018 runway show in Paris. Individual products like compostable sandwich bags and biodegradable garbage bags are also sold online through eco-conscious retailers like Reuseit.com.
